SOPHRO is a publication focused on sustainable fashion and intentional living for the conscious, fashion-loving man and woman. We are a collective of creatives who believe that the only way forward is to shift the fashion industry towards an ethical consciousness. We believe it is pertinent that we all become more aware of our personal consumption habits and how our actions and purchases directly affect the earth and each other. We believe that sustainability shouldn’t be an afterthought, it should be a requirement.
Founded in NYC in 2019, SOPHRO began as a passion project to fill the void of print publications focusing on and normalizing sustainability within the fashion industry. Our focus is to take an in-depth look at the various aspects of the fashion industry – such as production, textiles, carbon offsetting – and explore how they impact the environment, while also searching for innovative brands and solutions for these issues. We want to be your go-to resource on all aspects related to sustainable fashion.
All writers and editors for SOPHRO are passionate about sustainability, and realize that changes need to be made NOW for a better future. All clothing and accessories in this magazine are thrifted, vintage, come from our editor’s own closets, or were generously lended to us by sustainable brands. This magazine will be printed using non-toxic inks on recycled paper using an eco-friendly printing company, locally located in New York City.
